Research: Mobile Robot, Multi-robot Systems


Yong Wang received his M.E. degree in Control Engineering from Qingdao University, Qingdao, China, in 2008. Since 2008, he has been a Ph.D. student in the Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He won the championships on RoboCup@Home of the “RoboCup China Open” for several times. In 2010, he has designed and maintained the official website of ICRA2011. His main research interests are autonomous robotics, assistive robotics, and collective robotics.

Research:perception ability, collaboration and control of multi-robot; autonomous navigation technologies of mobile robot including mapping, localization and path-planning are also researched.


  • 2011, Obtained the 1st prize on the “Symposium Among Two Sides of the Taiwan Straits and Macao (i.e. Robotics Challenge Competition)”.
  • 2009, Obtained championship on RoboCup@Home Routine of the “RoboCup China Open”.

  • 2006, Obtained the 1st prize on the 2nd “National Computer Simulation Competition”.
