Jiaolong Team from the department of automation won 6 championships in China Robot Competition held at Anhui Architecture University on October 20, 2013.

In this year’s competition, Jiaolong Team consists of 6 graduate students and 5 undergraduate students. They took part in RoboCup@home, service robot people identification, innovation and creativity, basketball robot, 3D simulation and won first prizes in all sections.

Recent years, Jiaolong attracts many undergraduate students from the school of electronics, information and electrical engineering to join the preparation for robot competition, with the support from the Service Robot Student Innovation Studio and Service Robot Student Innovation Society. In addition, the personnel training mode gradually forms into teaching, competition and research.

China Robot Competition, known as RoboCup, is the most influential and authoritative robot technology competition in China, hosted by the China Automation Society, RoboCup China Committee, Advanced Research Development Center affiliated to Department of Science and Technology. The competition was held successfully for 13 sessions since 1999. The competition is aimed to organize robotic competitions and technological seminars so that more students can understand robots, become liking robots and are cultivated to talents in the field of robot.
